Wild Domestic

Who is Wild Domestic?

Indie/ alt-rock band, Wild Domestic is the brainchild of Matt Carlson. Born in Paraguay, Carlson has lived most of his life in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Carlson knew from a young age that music was his true calling, starting with singing and picking up guitar, bass, drums and keys over the years. Carlson continued his music career during college and following stints in several  Charlotte area bands, he made the decision to pursue a solo career  becoming Wild Domestic.

After spending the last few years writing and performing both locally and nationally, Carlson released his self-titled debut EP, WILD DOMESTIC in 2015. The follow up EP, SINGULAR was released in 2017. Wild Domestic’s writing, production and performance is a reflection of Carlson’s personal views and voice.  Ironic, honest and sometimes quirky lyrics  underscore powerful vocals and an evolving eclectic alt-rock sound. Wild Domestic's musical influences cover a wide range including My Chemical Romance, Bon Iver, Nothing But Thieves, Talking Heads, Bowie, and Muse.  Wild Domestic's magnetic music and high energy, intriguing live shows connect with a progressive audience.
